A traditional sailing experience for all ages

There is no more breathtaking or memorable boat charter than the tours offered by Freedom Sailing Adventures. Under the grace of a billowing sail, and with a maximum of 6 passengers, you will enjoy getting up close with nature in an intimate setting away from the crowds. Take your pick of a morning, afternoon or sunset sailing trip. Captain Greg might even let you take a turn at the helm if you'd like!

What to Expect

Captain Greg sails Freedom daily on the beautiful Indian River. Trips leave from the Cape Crossing Marina located in Merritt Island, just 15 minutes from Cocoa Beach. We are also a convenient drive from the Titusville, Rockledge, Melbourne and Orlando areas. (Keep: “All Trips are weather permitting.”)

Not only will you spot local marine life like manatees and dolphins, but our cruises also take us past a wild bird sanctuary. Practically every trip is filled with sightings of Great Blue Herons, White Egrets, Royal Terns, Pelicans and, at certain times of the year, bright pink birds called Roseate Spoonbills.

2-Hour Expertly Guided Sailing Adventures

After leaving the marina, it is often not even 10 minutes before we encounter manatees and bottle-nose dolphins. Sometimes the dolphins like to play with our boat as we pass by, and can even come almost close enough to touch! Small alligators and sea turtles have also been spotted by our crew. Whether you chose a bright and beautiful daytime trip or a relaxing and romantic sunset sail, you are sure to enjoy the stunning natural setting of the Indian River Lagoon.
